Last Weekend’s Event

A bit of a quiet weekend, but we’ve got a couple 40k RTTs to review

Dice Goblin’s May 2024 Warhammer 40K RTT

(Cumming, GA)

Starting us off is an RTT out of Georgia. Thomas Byrd’s Ultramarines and let me tell you this list is wild. Its a Gladius list, but its got some real outside picks like the Firstrike Servo Turret and a unit of five Devestators with grav in it. To be honest I don’t know how this list does its thing. I think the turret is an objective piece since it can do actions in combat? Regardless this is clearly some innovation in space marine list building, so congrats to Thomas!

  • Thomas Byrd (ProTabletop) – Space Marines
  • Joe MacMillan (ProTabletop) – Grey Knights
  • Dustin Brown (SUPER. COOL. DUDES.) – Space Wolves

Ted’s Hobby Shop Presents: Team Canada 2024 RTT Fundraiser

(Pointe-Claire, QC)

Next up is an RTT from Canada. Mark Thauvette won the event with their T’au bringing a crisis heavy Retaliation Cadre list. The list has a little bit of everything bringing at least one of each crisis type, some hammerhead support, and even some riptides.

  • Mark Thauvette (Tickle my T’au) – T’au Empire
  • Frederick Schellenberg (United Wargamers) – Black Templars
  • Kylee Plouffe (That Other Group) – Adepta Sororitas

The Grim Dark Rumpus – Spring Summer Series 1 40K RTT

(Rutland, VT)

Lastly we have another 40k RTT from Vermont. Vaashtorr and company took the event under the command of James Howard. The list is a pile of daemon engines as you might expect including a Lord of Skulls. The last round was a tie and according to reports on the ground, the game was a nail biter that came down to paint score stopping the Ork player from claiming the win. Let this be a lesson to you all, paint your models.

  • James Howard (Uncle Vashtorr has been makin’ em at night) – Chaos Space Marines
  • Floyd Porter (Mount Ellen Stompas) – Orks
  • Dean Gianotti (Mount Ellen Stompas) – T’au
