Giga-Bites March Warhammer 40k RTT

(Marietta, GA)

Kicking us off we have an RTT out of Georgia. Colin Watts took the event with their Grey Knights. I think there may have been a slight misinterpretation when Colin picked up the army and saw “Knights” in the title, because this list is just six Nemesis Dreadknights and Canis Rex. With the mobility and utility of Grey Knights coupled with Canis’ killing power, its no wonder this list performed well.

TJ Cafe & Games Executive Warhammer 40,000 Tournament

Meanwhile over in Massachusetts we have some more inside the box thinking. Alex Ing took the event, running Hypercrypt Necrons with most of the fixings we’ve come to expect; Immortals, a Monolith, some C’tan, etc. Surprise surprises it works as well here as in the rest of the meta.

Warhammer 40K RTT @ Dragon Master Games

Over on the east coast we have another 40k RTT. The event was won by Colton Miller and their Adepta Sororitas. In addition to a massive lore blurb, the list has most of the staples we’ve been seeing in Sisters lists. Namely, Vahl, Paragons, Castigators, etc

Alternate Universes March Warhammer 40K Tournament

Next up we’re going to Pennsylvania for another 40k RTT. Here we have Derek Apsche showing us all that you can’t keep a cool faction down by winning with CSM. The list has Abaddon leading a small unit of Terminators, some cheap but effective shooting from a couple predators, and a whole bunch of cultists buffed up by a Noctolith Crown.

Asgard Games March 40K RTT

(Houston, TX)

Heading down to Texas we have, you guessed it, a 40k RTT. This one was won by Steven Salazar (who I’m told by sources close to the subject is a “Nice guy”) and their T’au. The list forgoes Crisis Suits in favor of a couple Riptides, a few fish full of breachers, and a ghostkeel. Besides the inclusion of Longstrike, this seems like a list that will do well in the new book (assuming points are similar).

Chimera Gaming Warhammer 40K RTT – March

(Kitchener, ON)

40k RTTs are not limited to the US. Up in Ontario Jake Stevanus won this event with their Drukhari. While it leverages the Skysplinter detachment, Jake puts their own spin on it by leveraging a good amount of wracks for some more durable board control and Voidraven for a speedy gunship.

That’s not to say that the US is out of 40k RTTs. Kody Drake took this event down in Florida with their Chaos Daemons. This is Big Dudes Only list featuring Belakor, a greater daemon from each of the chaos gods, and 3 Brigands as allies. This list rules, no way around it.

Huzzah RTT March

Because I know you guys can’t get enough of these 40k RTTs I’ll leave you with one more. I was actually at this event paint judging, mostly to spare all the soft players my immense and incalculable gaming skill (I thought I was gonna be out of town until the last moment). So instead of me, Jonas Beardsley won this event with his Drukhari. Jonas was actually testing the list he’ll be taking as part of our team to Battle for Salvation in April so I’m pretty familiar with this list! Its a fairly standard Skysplinter list, but one that goes heavy on the Incubi, and uses Scourge support for its anti tank when the Incubi can’t get there. It’s a brutal list, and Jonas is a great player, so no shock at his win here.
