The inaugural edition of the Goonhammer Open UK is now just 4 weeks away! We’re really looking forward to the weekend, and as the event draws closer, we have some announcements to make, a reminder about list submission, and details of all the prizes on offer. We also still have a few places available – if you’re keen to attend, please sign up for the waitlist in Eventbrite and we will contact you.
First, let’s get the boring administrative stuff out of the way:
Covid-19 policy
The rules pack has been updated to include a Covid-19 policy, mirroring the one implemented by our friends at Hellstorm Wargaming. With cases rising in Nottingham we will be expecting attendees to wear masks, so bear that in mind when you’re packing. We will also have hand sanitiser available on site to use regularly, and spare masks to hand out.
Refunds
The refunds deadline has now passed – if you can’t make the event, you will no longer be refunded. You can still contact us to transfer your ticket to someone else.
Event FAQ
We will shortly be updating the event FAQ, which answers some common questions which we’ve been asked over the last few months. If you have a question you want in here then ask it soon!
List submission
Lists are due in BCP by the end of Saturday 9th October. You will need to register for the event here and upload your list. If you are having trouble submitting, let us know and we will be able to assist you. Please note that the updated event FAQ will include a rule banning the use of the Blackstone Fortress datasheets – which means no single Ur-Ghuls and no X-101.
Streaming and photography
Hellstorm Wargaming will be streaming the event on their Twitch channel, and a photographer will be present taking photos too. We hope you’ll join us on the stream, and enjoy the photos afterwards! You can also find our privacy policy relating to these here.
