The Best Year in Gaming: 1976 vs. 2003

Welcome back to our Best Year in Gaming March Madness bracket competition! Yesterday we looked at 1984 against 1999, and it wasn’t much of a competition.

Result: 1999 beats 1984

Today we have the most lopsided matchup in the competition, as one of the strongest years in our competition takes on what’s probably the weakest.

VS.

Look, I’m gonna level with you: I don’t know what the best year in gaming was, but I can tell you that, for the last 50 years? I’m pretty confident 1976 is the worst. Every year in the NCAA tournament there are teams who barely make it in and get bounced in the first round by a much better team without ever having a chance. And 1976 is that competitor this year.

On the other side, 2003 is a very strong year in our competition, and likely to make a run. So check out both articles and stay tuned for tomorrow’s matchup.

If you’re interested in voting on the outcome, head over to our Patreon and join our Discord server to vote. Otherwise, check back tomorrow for the winner and the next matchup in the Southeast Conference.
