After countless emails, it’s finally here- Tabletop Battles now supports Spearhead for Age of Sigmar! There’s more to talk about on top of that, but I figured I’d lead with the biggest news before jumping into other updates.
If you’re asking “What’s Tabletop Battles?” it’s our proprietary app for tracking games – we currently support Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, and Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings. And you better believe we’ll be supporting Kill Team 2024 when that releases. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, go ahead and grab it because it’s by far the best way to track games out there – just use one of the links below.
Note: If you already have an Administratum account, that login will also be your Tabletop Battles login – just use the same account you’ve already made. If you are creating a new account, you can use that account for Administratum later!
Alright, let’s get into the updates proper and show off what we’ve been doing:
New Game Selection
We’ve added two new game modes and cleaned up our game selection screen, adding Spearhead for Age of Sigmar and Boarding Actions for 10th edition 40k. If you’re looking for Combat Patrol, 9th edition Warhammer 40k, or 3rd Edition Age of Sigmar, you can find those by clicking on that “More Games” button at the bottom. We’ll be adding some features in the future to make it possible for you to pick your favorite games and customize that list, so if this is a bit of a chore, bear with us.
Support for Age of Sigmar: Spearhead
You can now log games of Spearhead in Tabletop Battles! Create games, pick a battlefield and realm, track your battle tactics, and score them as you generate them. The app will tell you who the Underdog is and includes everything you need to get started today.
10th Edition Boarding Actions
Although you could already submit games of Boarding Actions using the 9th edition missions, we’ve updated the app to support 10th edition games, starting with the nine Symmetric Missions in the recently released Boarding Actions Compendium – check out our review here. We’ll be adding more support in the future with support for Asymmetric missions and the missions released in White Dwarf over the last year, so stay tuned for those.
Age of Sigmar 4th edition: Fixing Kairos
If you play the Disciples of Tzeentch, Tabletop Battles now supports Kairos Fateweaver’s ability to re-use a Battle Tactic you’ve already scored. As for selecting two and scoring one well, you can just do that part manually.
What’s Next?
That’s it for this update but stay tuned – we’re working on some more big updates, including sharing games and streaming support, setting preferences and favorites, the ability to follow along with someone’s game as they play, and support for the upcoming edition of Kill Team, as well as a few surprise things we’ll roll out soon. If you have the means, we’d really appreciate your support through Patreon – it helps us devote more time and resources to updates and stay on top of the demands of new editions, books, and game systems, and most importantly it helps us keep the app free, both in terms of cost and keeping ads out of the app. Until our next update, good luck in your games!
