Start Competing: Blood Angels Tactics
Among the many Chapters of the Space Marines, the Blood Angels stand tall as one of the most famed of all. Birthed in the First Founding at the dawn of the Imperium, the Blood Angels have a proud history – and a dark past. The loss of their primarch, Sanguinius, in the final battles of the Horus Heresy left them afflicted with the twin curses of the Red Thirst and Black Rage, and ten thousand years later they still struggle to contain these dark sides of their angelic natures.
Faction Overview
The lore of the Blood Angels translates onto the tabletop in the form of a strong melee focus, with several specialist units including the golden-armoured Sanguinary Guard and the black-clad warriors of the Death Company. Their detachment rules play to this strength, and while the Blood Angels are a Codex-compliant Chapter and have the full range of Space Marine units available to them, you’re going to want to focus on getting up close and punching things to get the most out of them.
