Start Competing: Adepta Sororitas Tactics
The Adepta Sororitas are the armed wing of the Ecclesiarchy, the Imperial Church, as well as being the Chamber Militant of the Ordo Hereticus, the witch-hunting arm of the Inquisition. The Battle Sisters are an exclusively female order, clad in power armour and armed with the holy trinity of bolters, flamers, and meltas – all the better to blast heretics to ash. Their Orders take to the field in a combined arms form similar to the genetically altered Space Marines, with an array of infantry, tanks, and transport vehicles, but accompanied also by some of the weirder elements of the Ecclesiarchy’s forces such as Arco-flagellants and the Engines of Redemption.
Faction Overview
On the one hand the Adepta Sororitas are a force like any other – their troops slightly more elite than the masses of humanity in the Astra Militarum, but less so than the Space Marines, their vehicles much along the lines of “battle tank” and “artillery” and “armoured transport.” On the other, however, their playstyle reflects their role as the military wing of the church, fuelled by their religious fervour, with the key rule driving this being their Acts of Faith – the army rule which gives them some extraordinary bonuses and additional abilities. Learning to utilise the Emperor’s miracles, deploying them at the right time for the right effect, and combining the synergistic elements of the army to maximise their unique advantages, is core to getting the most out of your army – and you can check out our Competitive Faction Focus below for a guide on how to get started.
