Hey gamers, and welcome to the UTC wrap up from yours truly. Hosted out of my home shop, the Brooklyn Strategist, we invited the top 32 from the UTC leaderboards which you can see below. With $1500 and a Golden Ticket to the World Championships of Warhammer on the line it was incredible to see the five regions of the current UTC tournaments in New York City!
Big names in the global Kill Team scene like Orion, Adrian, and Dylan shoulder to shoulder, literally, with other UTC region champs and players in a tight 5-round over the weekend. Fresh off the heels of the big dataslate shake up to the team standings, most players came in hot and ready to battle their way to the top of the standings. Many assume that Aeldari are the perfect counter to the Astartes-level threats that have run amok in the early moments of this edition of Kill Team. With the faction spread of the tournament much reflecting the divide in team selection. Gone are the days of horde dominance, with the power of new counteraction and thicker Astartes wound counts. With Elves able to fence sit on both sides of the counteraction rules punching down into hordes while counteracting and punching up into elites with high lethality. We’ve got Astartes, Orkoid Astartes, Elfy Astartes, and actual Elves dotting the top 8 of our fine invitational. While a single hearthkyn player also staked a writ of claim in the top brackets with his blitzkrieg style.
