Content We Liked: October 25, 2020

Although it’s a big internet out there, the Warhammer digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed.

On the Internet at Large

  • For Shovelry!
    @jh.miniaturas via Instagram
    These are some extremely rad conversions of Stormcast models into Shovel Knight characters, with some great nmm paintjobs to match.
  • Too Hot to Play Nice
    @ddmwsky via r/AdeptusMechanicus
    I love the posing and detail on this super-Western take on a Serberys Raider. Check the comments for the artist’s method on how the armor was painted.
  • A Sister restores a weathered painting of the Emperor
    @BolterToKokoro via Twitter
    This little comic made me giggle quite a bit.
  • Nathaniel’s Exodite Wraithknight
    @Nethermore via Twitter
    Space Dragons are cool as hell and for some reason GW seems committed to never making Exodites happen but in the meantime sweet conversions like this will have to get us by.
  • Imperial Fists Invader ATV
    @getbalthasar via Instagram
    This is just a really nicely done yellow ATV. Great paint job, good weathering.
  • Julia’s Medieval Battle Diorama
    @juliwerra via Instagram
    This is an insanely detailed diorama with some wonderful action and great painting showing Louis I de Bourbon-Vendome during the Battle of Agincourt on October 25, 1415  during which time he was captured by the British.
  • Maartje’s Custom Zelda model
    @MaGieMiniatures via Twitter
    This wonderful mini work made me desperately wish we had a Zelda miniatures game. I’d play the hell out of that. The painting work done on this Hyrule Warriors-era Zelda is just great.
  • This Insane diorama of a rug store I mean seriously what the hell how did they
    @abdulrahman.m.eid via Instagram
    Oh sure, I could make something like this. If I were 200 feet tall. This is one of the most stunning diorama images I’ve seen.
  • James Lynch’s Spirit Hosts
    @SpongiePaint via Twitter
    These creepy lads turned out very well, with a striking paint scheme and some good blending.
  • DisposableTimeChunks’ Sister of Battle Illustration
    DisposableTimeChunks via r/Warhammer
    This is a really sweet illustration of a Sister of Battle firing a bolter on the move. Good stuff.
  • Mortarion’s Lightsaber Scythe Prop – CW: FLASHING LIGHTS
    @kotahcustomsabers via r/Warhammer40k
    This is an insanely cool idea and I love the sound effects on it.
