Content We Liked: 21st August, 2022

Although it’s a big internet out there, the Warhammer digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed.

On the Internet at Large

Me-U’s Remote Control Astraeus
@MeU_317 via Twitter

Here at Goonhammer we’ve countless times expressed our deeply unhealthy obsession with the BIG TANK, so when conversion maverick and tiny cat enthusiast Me-U goes ahead and makes their Astraeus remote controlled we can’t help but hoot and holler our hearts out. This owns.

Cedric’s Mounted Exodite

In retrospect it’s weird you don’t see people use more Lumineth parts for Exodite conversions, the rounded armour plates and bevy of alien-esque mounts at their disposal make for excellent fodder to be converted into Aeldari like this one here.

It’s pretty rare to see the Dark Angels lean into their Arthurian influences, even in 30k it tends to get lost in their more esoteric aspects. So it’s incredibly cool to see this gorgeously lush diorama lean into the knightly side of everyone’s favourite broodybois.

Goonhammer Reviews

Goonhammer Interviews- John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats: Greg and MildNorman sit down with John Darnielle to talk about his love for Magic: the Gathering. Including lore, playing on the road and Jank. So much Jank.

Getting Started with Star Wars- Armada: Our Armada coverage continues with an overview of the game’s formats, factions and the best ways to get commanding your own fleet.

Goonhammer Roundtable- Wizards of the Coast 2022 Reveal Livestream: Our resident Wizard Square touchers and Dungeon Delvers sit down and discuss the recent Wizards Presents Livestream for both the upcoming Magic: the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons Reveals. I don’t think anyone saw a Doctor Who crossover in the cards.

That’s all for this week, stay tuned to Goonhammer for more great articles in the next seven days, and give us a shout in the comments below or email us at contact@goonhammer.com if you have any feedback or questions.
