We are proud to announce the 2025 US Goonhammer Open! As with previous years, the GHO will be held in Maryland. Come join us on July 5th and 6th. For the second year in a row, we will be at the Sheraton Baltimore Washington Airport in Linthicum.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday at Noon for Warhound+ Tier Patrons and Friday at Noon for everyone else.
This year we’re bringing back some old favorites, as well as trying out some new game systems. Our featured events:
- 36-player GT for Warhammer 40,000 featuring a golden ticket to the Games Workshop US finale in Atlanta for the 1st place finisher – as well as the GHO Championship belt and $300 to get there. There will be additional fantastic prizes for 3rd, best painted, and smokin’ boots. All attendees will receive a GHO t-shirt and a fantastic swag bag.
- 30-player Narrative Campaign for Warhammer 40,000. Pick one of three factions and battle for the planet of Verona. Tickets will be sold in groups of five, two per team. More fantastic prizes here: there will be Atlanta Grand Narrative tickets up for grabs. Narrative attendees will also receive a t-shirt and swag bag.
- Kill Team GT also featuring a Golden Ticket, $300, and a belt.
- Necromunday Weekender that will feature narrative action in the Ash Wastes, Sector Mechanicus, and beyond!
- Blood Bowl Tournament – the hottest game on the gridiron. Face off on Saturday!
- Warhammer Underworlds Tournament with a Golden Ticket up for grabs on Sunday.
So what’s up with this year’s narrative? Let’s meet the teams!
Defenders – The Imperium team, plus their allies of convenience. Arriving on Varona at the request of Inquisitor Magnolia Bulkhead, whose desperate communications indicated that the world had key strategic significance to the Imperium. Uncover the hidden lab of Archmagos 5-0GZ and his heretical work, explore the ruins of Krunch’s derelict hulk, and stop the Despoilers.
Despoilers – The forces of Chaos, plus their mercenaries and corrupted allies. Varona’s emergence from the warp was foretold, and beneath the planet’s surface lies ancient archaeotech and resources that could be used to destabilize the Imperium. Attack the planet and claim it as your own. Claim its secrets for your own and kill any and all in your path.
Raiders – Unaligned forces, consisting primarily of Xenos but also including renegade Imperium factions and Chaos forces who refuse to submit to the will of another warlord. Varona has resources of great value, chief among them the prototype Tellyporta drive designed by the Ork Mek Kap’n Krunch. Plunder its surface, claim its prizes, and find the Tellyporta, even if it’s just to destroy it so no one else can have it.
In addition to these events, we’ll also have some tables for pick-up games and a cash bar for portions of each game day. We’re excited to see you there!
