Administratum Updates: Custodes, Genestealer Cults, and Chaos Space Marines

We’ve been hard at work for the past two months getting Administratum updated for the Grand Narrative this week and while we’re still confident we’ll have a lot of these updates in place for the event on Thursday, it was worth pausing to make some of this more widely known. Last week we rolled out a new update for the app which added more robust support for two factions, along with a tweak for a third. So let’s dive into what changed and what you need to know.

Codex: Chaos Space Marines

We added a tracker to the dashboard for Chaos Points for Chaos Space Marines armies. Now you can track your Chaos points along with the three types of glory for your warband, as well as your warband champion. Note that there isn’t any logic support yet for CSM in Administratum, so while we have all of the Requisitions in there for the faction you’ll need to manually manage rules updates and changing RP costs based on glory rewards.

Codex: Adeptus Custodes

We now have support for the Custodes in Administratum! You can lead your golden warriors on Endeavours, taking on mighty tasks for the emperor.

When you create an endeavour, you’ll have to generate three Imperatives to go along with it. If you like, you can randomly generate each of these using the dice roller in Administratum. Once you generate them, you can add descriptions and track them on a later screen.

That said, if you’d prefer to select them manually, you can do that too.

Once your imperatives are in, they’ll show up on your dashboard, and you can track their progress and update them by clicking on their status button. Endeavours can be completed or abandoned as you see fit.

Finally, we’ve implemented the basic structure for the requisitions, so you can spend RP on Custodes Requisitions. There’s no logic for these yet however, so you’ll still need to manually do any updates related to the Requisitions themselves, such as adding relics to your models.

Codex: Genestealer Cults

We’ve also added basic support for Genestealer Cults armies, letting you track your progress infiltrating and conquering a planet’s systems en route to your day of glorious Ascension.

Each Path of Ascension starts with generating a planet. You can either do this manually, rolling or picking results, or you can have our random generator do it, and it’ll automatically generate the correct institutions for your pick.

Once you’ve generated a path, you can track progress for it and update it through the dashboard, clicking on institutions to update their results as you go.

You can also update your Path altogether, which is what you’ll need to do as you accrue points – if you’re discovered, you abandon your planet, or you complete your mission you can put that in too, completing your path one way or another and allowing you to embark on a new one.

As with Custodes, all of the Requisitions from the book are in here, though there’s no logic associated with them – it’s good for tracking them and knowing what you can pick, mostly. But there are notes in there on how to use these as good reminders you can work with.

Next Time: Blood Angels and Adepta Sororitas

That wraps up this update but we’re hard at work implementing updates for the rules for the Adepta Sororitas and Blood Angels, and we expect to push those out Tuesday or Wednesday. Cutting it close, we know – but we’re working overtime to get these ready so we can have at least baseline support for all the major released factions out by Thursday. If we can find extra time, the White Dwarf rules are on our radar, though the Imperial Agents rules are complicated enough that they will likely have to wait for December. Stay tuned.

And if you want access to these on Administratum, we’ve already implemented them for the Grand Narrative campaign we put together but add-ons are available to $5 Patrons and above, while $10 Patrons can enable them for anyone in a campaign they’re running.
